June 13th, 2011. Great day so far. Really warm and sunny in my room. Might read my book and have a wee nana-nap. God! The house is shaking and I am hearing things falling down in the living room. Wow! This is a biggie and it’ been so quiet lately, too. Texting Laura and school to make sure she is ok. She is fine thank goodness and safe. Sit back on my head to get the shaking under control. I’ll just go on Facebook and check on everyone quickly…

Time to jump in the car and collect Laura from her friend’s house. Feeling calmer now. That done we get back home and have a chat and then I go into the kitchen to make a cuppa. Laura is standing in the doorway talking to me….hell! Look at the carport shaking around and bouncing…house starts to go then. We are about to jump under the table when it subsides.

The difference between this even and the Feb/Sept quakes is that we had a 5.7 then the big 6.3. Usually starts big and gets smaller.

Just cannot take any more of this… not much sleep had that night and loads of crying into my pillow because I am grateful that no one died this time.
